DATING THE EXODUS

I was watching National Geographic about the attempts to save the ruins of Pompei and Herculaneum, recently they discovered another Layer of Ash below the ancient city.A thought crossed my mind about the pillar of Fire at night and the cloud by day.Exodus 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
Exodus 13:22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.
Exodus 14:24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,
Numbers 14:14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
The events of the Exodus resemble a major Volcanic activity, which caused the tusanami that drowned Pharoah's Armies. The visble glow in the night north of Egypt , and the Clouds visible during the day.The Miracle is in the timing of the exodus to coincide with the volcanic eruption , God's foreknowledge of events to declare his Glory.Psalms 68:8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
Psalms 77:18 The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.
Isaiah 23:11 He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof.
It is intresting to note the divergent views of the Exodus route and where Moses and the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea. A tusanami could explain all these events , through the tectonic movement of continental plates.The estimated dating in the article ,that I linked is within 500 years of Ad 79 + 1474 .Creationist's and scientific dating techniques are often at odds with one another. The sarosanct human lineage of Christ , and God's providence to preserve that lineage , is under threat by modern day rampant athiesm.As we approach the 70th Jubilee circ sept Ad 2026 , we can anticipate some form of future Apocalyptic event.Global Climate Change and the never ending wars of the past and present century seem to be pointing to it. The middle east , appears through out history to be a hotbed of conflict. From Sodom and Gomorrah, the driving out of the cannanites, the Exodus, the History of the Kings, the Babylonian Captivity, The Medes and the Persian's, the Greek Colonisation, the Roman Conquests , the Desolations of Jerusalem, the Crusades, Genghis Kahn , Tamerlane,the Ottoman Empires, The British Empire, the First and Second world War's and the present day conflict in Iraq.Isaiah 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.The use of metaphors for nations in this piece from Isaiah , seems to be repetitively fulfilled during the December festive season when we celebrate the birth of Christ.I hope you don't mind me sharing some thoughts with you , for I find very few students of the scriptures , to interact with.God Bless,Dave.
